The Proposal ...according to Brittany

The days leading up to the big question were spent at Tyler's grandparent's house. We stopped first in San Jose to visit the Winchester Mystery House. Straight craziness. I mean, really. I had visited it before when I was younger but to contemplate as an adult the crazy thought process of Sarah Winchester is mind bottling. But I digress.
Don't you hate when people you don't know ruin a picture? Anyway, We did that, went to lunch, did a little shopping. Looking back, Tyler was uncharacteristically patient while I looked through H&M fourteen times.

That night we went to dinner with his grandparent's, the conversation consisting of how the two met...over 50 years ago! They went to prom together...awwww!

The next day, Saturday, was fairly uneventful. Just relaxing, shopping, and eating--a perfect weekend away from Chico before school started.  That night we went to a fancy dinner. The shirt Tyler originally had on was just too casual for me and he changed it without complaining. I should of known something was up then.

At dinner he was super antsy and nervous. His grandfather kept telling him to relax. Side note: all of these observations meant nothing to me until later. I was too busy eating my escargot and guzzling Lemon Drop Martinis. It pisses me off how clueless I was.

Then....

We left the restaurant. Outside, his grandfather wanted to take a picture of us... totally obvious, right? Nope. Brittany is still freakin' clueless. At one point during the photo sesh I felt Tyler pull away from me, his hand on his pocket...

Me being the clueless idiot I am goes, "What the heck are you doing? We're taking a picture!"

I ruin everything.

Then, finally.....

We head back to the house. When we get back he asks me to go for a walk... I decline saying I'm too full. Can't say he didn't try, right?!

We decided to watch a movie. Tyler's being super sweet and cuddly during it. Again, why the heck did I not think something was up?? ;) He kissed me. Then says, "I don't want to be kissing my girlfriend, I want to be kissing my fiance..." Then gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him.

Of course I said yes. :)

The movie we were watching and that I hardly remember?

The Proposal.
